Message from the President

 

Greetings:

Through the continued enthusiasm and commitment of the CAFCI Board, Committee Chairs and members, scheduled events to date on this year’s Calendar have been successfully completed.  Of note were our Cultural Community Outreach Programs, the Martin Luther King Celebration and Cultural Diversity Day all of which were free events to the public. Other completed projects  include the Valentine’s Day Party, Family Picnic and participation in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

 

CAFCI members attended the Cub Scout Pack 120 Blue & Gold Banquet and we are truly proud to be Charters of the Cub Scout Pack 120, Boys Scout Troop 111, and Venture Patrol 211.  Congratulations to the newest Eagle Scout, Bo Lint.

 

This year there were five Student Award Recipients one of which was the Vivian Ferrin Memorial Scholarship.  Vivian Ferrin was one of CAFCI’s founding members and Past President.  Congratulations to following Awardees and we wish them well:

 

  • Wilson Etheya – CAFCI Student Award.

  • Jabyey Cross – CAFCI Student Award.

  • Gilberto Bennette – Simms Scholarship for Academic Excellence.

  • Bo Lint – Vivian Ferrin Memorial Scholarship.

  • Ethan Morrison – 2010 Jr, Citizen Award.

 

Thanks to Mr. Lauriston Simms  the Donor of the Simms Scholarship Award and to the dedicated Student Assistance Award  and Vivian Ferrin Award Committees  and Judges.

 

 

Please support the upcoming events,

 

  • Business Awareness on August 21st at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center.

  • Talent Show on August 28th at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center

  • General Membership meetings. Please check the calendar on the web site for specific dates.

  • Thanksgiving Service

  • International Games Night September  8 at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center

  • The Annual Friendship Ball on Saturday, September 18th at the Cultural Center.
